Face Coverings

Please note that everyone accessing or visiting healthcare settings must continue to wear a face covering and follow social distancing rules. We respectfully request that you continue to wear your face mask when you are in Elgar House Surgery.

Our Online Service is available from 8am-7pm

All requests for GP appointments are seen by our team of doctors first. Sometimes your query can be resolved via text or a phone call meaning you don’t always need to come to surgery. Click on the “contact us online” above to access this.
This allows us to deal with an increased number of contacts each day. It means that those patients who need face to face appointment with our doctors and nurses can get them in a timely fashion.
Of course, not everyone can use the internet. A friend or relative can put in a request on their behalf, or people can phone our trained receptionists who will submit a request for them.
BEFORE you click the link to access your GP, we would be very grateful if you would consider the following –

General Practice, alongside the whole NHS, is under significant strain at present.  Every single request made is dealt with by your Practice Team. Please spend a moment considering other services which may be better able to assist with your current issue, rather than contacting your Surgery as your first line of contact.

For example:
  • Self-care
  • Your local pharmacist can advise on many minor ailments and medication queries
  • The NHS website has excellent information and guidance – https://www.nhs.uk/
  • NHS111 should be used for all evening, overnight and weekend enquiries as the surgery is closed
