Please note if attending an appointment at our surgery all patients must now wear face covering.  If you do not wear face covering you will be unable to enter the building for your appointment.  You will be asked to re-book your appointment if you attend without face covering.

Please do not park in our car park at the back of the surgery unless instructed to do so by one of our GP's 

To park without prior agreement will result in you receiving a fine of £100.

Elgar House is an Edwardian Building of great substance and character.  Formerly an Employment Exchange, its Northern aspect was the drill hall for the Royal North Worcestershire Regiment.

The Practice formed from the merger of two long established Practices which moved to Smallwood Health Centre in 1973.  Elgar House, converted and extended, became our base in 1993.

If your routine appointment can wait please can you avoid booking unnecessary appointments at this time.

We understand that the phone lines may be experience an increase in calls however we have set up a call back system so that we can deal with the increase number of queries.  If you have any questions regarding Coronavirus (COVID 19) you can complete a Coronavirus query form using our ONLINE CONSULT link on our home page. 

Once you have submitted a form via Online Consult it will be picked up by the surgery.

Online Consult is updated regularly by Public Health England.  Using the ONLINE CONSULT link on our home page you can complete a Coronavirus form this will then be sent direct to the surgery so that your symptoms can be triaged.

Extended hours

Did you know, we offer extended hours? You can book appointments with the GP, Nurse and Phlebotomist. Available to book with online access or call the Reception team on 01527 69261.

These appointments are available Tuesdays: 7 - 8 am & 6.30 - 7.30 pm and Thursdays: 7am - 8 am. We offer both video and telephone consultations.

Changes are being made to walk-in X-ray services at the Worcestershire acute hospitals.

There is now an appointment booking service for urgent and walk-in radiology requests.
You will be contacted by the radiology booking team with an appointment time.
You must isolate whilst awaiting your appointment.
DO NOT attend the radiology department without an appointment.

Veteran friendly GP practice accreditation

Over the next five years, NHS England and NHS Improvement, together with the Royal College of General Practitioners, are rolling out the veteran friendly GP practice accreditation scheme across England. This scheme, which is intended to help ensure practices are equipped to best care for veterans and their families, has already accredited over 550 surgeries.

Elgar House has been accredited as a veteran friendly GP practice.
